Nager syndrome

A congenital malformation syndrome characterized by mandibulofacial dystosis (malar hypoplasia, micrognathia, external ear malformations) and variable preaxial limb defects.

Microretrognathia

A form of developmental hypoplasia of the mandible in which the mandible is mislocalised posteriorly.

This report features a case of Nager syndrome occurring in a one-year-old boy showing microretrognathia, thumb hypoplasia, brachydactyly, hexadactyly, and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, characteristics not usually encountered in published cases.
