Meningioma

A rare, mostly benign, primary tumor of the meninges (arachnoid cap cells), usually located in the supratentorial compartment, commonly appearing in the sixth and seventh decade of life, clinically silent in most cases or causing hyperostosis close to the tumor and resulting in focal bulging and localized pain in less than 10% of cases. Additional features may include headache, seizures, gradual personality changes (apathy and dementia), anosmia, impaired vision, exophthalmos, hearing loss, ataxia, dysmetria, hypotonia, nystagmus, and rarely spontaneous bleeding.

Neurocytoma

A benign brain tumor composed of neural elements which most often arise from the septum pellucidum and the walls of the lateral ventricles.

Lateral ventricular cystic meningioma: 2 rare case reports.
Qiu LH, Lui S, Zou L, Yue Q, Gong QY.
Exp Ther Med. 2014;7(5):1393-1395.
Cystic meningiomas located in the ventricle are particularly rare and may be misdiagnosed with other brain tumors, including ependymoma, choroid plexus papilloma and neurocytoma, due to its location.

[Intraventricular fibrous tumor: a case report].
Boada M, Gomez E, Puig J, Pedraza S.
Radiologia. 2009;51(5):512-5.
We describe a case of intraventricular solitary fibrous tumor. The imaging characteristics of intraventricular solitary fibrous tumors are nonspecific; the differential diagnosis should include other tumors that can affect the ventricular system such as meningioma, high grade glioma, metastasis, subependymoma, choroid plexus papilloma, ependymoma, subependymal giant cell astrocytoma, and neurocytoma.
