Pierson syndrome

A rare syndrome characterised by the association of congenital nephrotic syndrome and ocular anomalies with microcoria.

Aniridia

Abnormality of the iris characterized by, typically bilateral, complete or partial iris hypoplasia. The phenotype ranges from mild defects of anterior iris stroma only to almost complete absence of the iris.

DMS is a phenotypic expression of syndromic entities such as WAGR syndrome (Wilms' tumor, aniridia, genitourinary anomalies and mental retardation), Denys Drash syndrome, Pierson syndrome, Frasier syndrome, or Galloway-Mowat syndrome.
