Multiple myeloma

Multiple myeloma (MM) is a malignant tumor of plasma cell characterized by overproduction of abnormal plasma cells in the bone marrow and skeletal destruction. The clinical features are bone pain, renal impairment, immunodeficiency, anemia and presence of abnormal immunoglobulins (Ig).

Aphasia

An acquired language impairment of some or all of the abilities to produce or comprehend speech and to read or write.

The first patient was a 60-year-old female with the initial presentation of multiple myeloma forming a large skull tumour compressing the brain with resultant symptoms of aphasia, limited logical contact and right upper extremity paresis.
