Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans

Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans (DFSP) is a rare infiltrating soft tissue sarcoma, generally of low grade malignancy, arising from the dermis of the skin and characteristically associated with a specific chromosomal translocation t(17;22).

Aggressive behavior

Aggressive behavior can denote verbal aggression, physical aggression against objects, physical aggression against people, and may also include aggression towards oneself.

This benign tumor must be clearly distinguished from dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans, which also is composed of bundles of CD34-reactive spindle-shaped cells in most cases but has locally aggressive behavior.
