Gaucher disease

Gaucher disease (GD) is a lysosomal storage disorder encompassing three main forms (types 1, 2 and 3), a fetal form and a variant with cardiac involvement (Gaucher disease - ophthalmoplegia - cardiovascular calcification or Gaucher-like disease).

Hemolytic anemia

A type of anemia caused by premature destruction of red blood cells (hemolysis).

There have been several reports of patients presenting with pulmonary EMH published in the literature and the majority are due to a secondary process, such as myeloproliferative disorders, hemolytic anemias, hereditary spherocytosis, and Gaucher disease.
