Immunohistochemical evaluation of p16 expression in cutaneous histiocytic, fibrohistiocytic and undifferentiated lesions.
Smith EH, Lowe L, Harms PW, Fullen DR, Chan MP.
J Cutan Pathol. 2016;43(8):671-8.
We evaluated p16 expression in a cohort of histiocytic (reticulohistiocytoma, Langerhans cell histiocytosis, xanthogranuloma, Rosai Dorfman disease and xanthoma), fibrohistiocytic (dermatofibroma, epithelioid fibrous histiocytoma and dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans) and undifferentiated (atypical fibroxanthoma and pleomorphic undifferentiated sarcoma) lesions.

Xanthoma disseminatum: a rare normolipemic xanthomatosis.
Weiss N, Keller C.
Clin Investig. 1993;71(3):233-8.
The clinical picture and course as well as laboratory findings indicating normolipidemia made it possible to differentiate XD from other normolipemic xanthomatosis, especially juvenile xanthogranuloma, eruptive histiocytoma, and histiocytosis X.
