Cold agglutinin disease

Cold agglutinin disease is a type of autoimmune hemolytic anemia (see this term) defined by the presence of cold autoantibodies (autoantibodies which are active at temperatures below 30°C).

The authors describe an 8-year-old girl without cervical lymphadenopathy or splenomegaly, who presented with conjugated hyperbilirubinemia and was diagnosed with cold agglutinin disease caused by an immunoglobulin M autoantibody with anti-i specificity.
