Neuroblastoma is a malignant tumor of neural crest cells, the cells that give rise to the sympathetic nervous system, which is observed in children.

Hypophosphatemia

An abnormally decreased phosphate concentration in the blood.

Following systemic chemotherapy and supplementation of 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin-D3 a complete remission of the neuroblastoma was achieved and all features of the paraneoplastic hypophosphatemia gradually disappeared.
