Beta-thalassemia

Beta-thalassemia (BT) is characterized by deficiency (Beta+) or absence (Beta0) of synthesis of the beta globin chains of hemoglobin (Hb).

Stroke

Sudden impairment of blood flow to a part of the brain due to occlusion or rupture of an artery to the brain.
