Beta-thalassemia

Beta-thalassemia (BT) is characterized by deficiency (Beta+) or absence (Beta0) of synthesis of the beta globin chains of hemoglobin (Hb).

Thrombocytopenia

A reduction in the number of circulating thrombocytes.
