Myeloid sarcoma

Myeloid sarcoma is a rare solid tumor of the myelogenous cells occurring in an extramedullary site.

Clubbing

Broadening of the soft tissues (non-edematous swelling of soft tissues) of the digital tips in all dimensions associated with an increased longitudinal and lateral curvature of the nails.

Biopsy of the hilar mass was not technically possible, but it almost certainly represented a granulocytic sarcoma since chemotherapy induced rapid resolution of the mass along with reversal of the clubbing and remission of the leukaemia.
