Adenine phosphoribosyltransferase deficiency

A rare autosomal recessive (AR) disorder characterized by the formation and hyperexcretion of 2,8-dihydroxyadenine (2,8-DHA) in urine, causing urolithiasis and crystalline nephropathy.

The presence of inflammation affecting the kidney.
